yah, no one has ever become poor by giving, no one.. as i said, im not a good moslem. but i believe if Allah will give us mooooreeee than what we give to other people. its written in Al-Qur'an. and i think all religions teach the same thing, teach us how to be a good person who have good morality.

ok, forget about the religion. two days ago, actually.. i have two same events: charity, breakfasting with some orphans in two different places, by two of community organizations that i follow; Front Pembela Merah Putih, FPMP (FRONT DEFENDER OF INDONESIAN'S FLAG; red and white) and Komite Nasional Pemuda Indonesia, KNPI (COMMITTEE NATIONAL OF INDONESIAN'S YOUTH ).

they have events in the same time on Friday, KNPI at 3pm and FPMP at 4pm. aaah wish i could become an amoeba and split my body in two two. then could in two places at the same time. lol. so, i just went to KNPI first before i went to FPMP. hmmm, i was there maybe.. only 10 minutes, poooorrr. i think they're miss me. so sad to remember their face when met me, sooo excited and BUM so sad when i said "sorry i must go now" :( then i went to FPMP.

here is it in KNPI's quarters. with some orphans and poor people *sorry, im not feel good when i said them like that.. is there other words to describe them to be more subtle? sorry sorryyy my english is not good.

in FPMP

woaah everyone miss me. because i was sick last month, so i never come to FPMP's quarters anymore. hugs hugs huuugs. im happy to met them again yesterday. i love them soooo much.

then, yesterday.. i attended the Warbler Lovers Community in my city with the same event. charity and breakfasting with some cute children from some orphanages in my city.

FYI: my father in heaven doesnt has twin, but i found someone who have similar, SAME FACE and posture like my father. and i call him daddy :" it was the best gift ever, because i met him on my 20th birthday. thanks God..

i feel fortunate to be among them. contributed to the event. as my grandfather said that.. the duties of someone in this world is to make other people happy.
i always try to do it. although i admit it is very hard to do. i'll try!!

7A's break fasting

setelah kemarin-kemarin sempet keilangan mood buat blogging, akhirnya sekarang ngepost lagi nih. bersyukur ini blogger pribadi bukan blogger buat cari duit. jadi anggep-anggep aja diary ya cyyyn. eimm cus

hari selasa kemarin tanggal 16 gue buka bersama bareng temen-temen satu kampus. gue inget hari itu semua Blackberry service lagi suck abis!! inget juga gimana gupek+paniknya panitia acara kita. haha lol

but finally, rame kok yang dateng. Alhamdulillah...

kita buka bersama di Waroeng Diggers, you knooow deh. begitu sampe, meja paling berisik itu meja yang di booked sama kita. yakaleeeeeeeeeee berasa toak semua. tamtaramtaraaaaammmm ga lebih dari sepuluh detik mulai suara kamera dimana-mana. alaaayyy ga sih kita broh? yabodo deh ya. kapan lagi kita bisa ngumpul kaya gini. menginget dan mengingat kalo biasanya banyak yang pulkam kalo liburan.

Indonesian traditions before Ramadhan

hey, tomorrow.. eh no, two days again.. eh no i dont know, when Ramadhan will started. lol. Indonesian people still wait the government and the clergy for the info when the Ramadhan will start. they are still meeting today and still observed when Hilal will appear. ok, i dont have enough knowledge about Hilal. maybe you can search it in Google and this the news in Indonesia. Ramadhan 2013, Awal Berbeda Akhir Bersama. u can translate it in ur language.

ok Indonesia, where the majority of the Muslim community, various events or traditions of welcoming Ramadan many held in various regions. in the Islamic calendar, Ramadan will begin with the coming month of Sha'ban. nah in the month of Sha'ban is usually a lot of ceremonies held tradition of welcoming the month of Ramadhan. 

ok here is it the tradition of welcoming Ramadan which my family or generally carried out by most people of Indonesia:

1.  apologize to the people around us before Ramadan

Islam teaches us to apologize, if we did wrong to others or hurt someone.

FYI FYI, FOR YOUR INFO: grrrr its really really annoying if u use Blackberry. u will got many broadcast about this apologize more than 50 broadcasts per day!!! *ok, its depend of how many ur contact. and most of them sent the same sentences, same paragraphs. ok, i just hope Allah will give many rewards for first person who wrote, and have idea to sent that broadcast. they just copy-paste and sent. omg sure its really annoyed!!! hey, u know, u use smartphone, use it in a smart way. put ur apologize into ur personal message or status its the way better.

  

2. go to cemetery

in addition to the memory that has gone, also reminds us of a pilgrimage to the tomb of death and the afterlife. i went to my father and my great-grandmother's cemetery at 5 pm today with my step father. glad to visited them. we pray for them, cleaning their headstone, laying flowers, and pour water for them.

i removed my nail polish. because it was not allowed in Islam to wear nail polish when you pray. or ur pray will called unlawful.  ok, i know im not a good moslem. but i want my fasting and my worship when Ramadan is lawful. i dont want going to waste Ramadhan month that only comes once a year.

3. exchanging food at the mosque

my mom cooked special dishes today, every mom i think. food was placed into something like baskets maybe called "besek" and then inserted again in the crackle. collected and then taken to the mosque to pray. after besek are distributed back to those who carry besek. every home should deliver the besek, and this is usually carried by their children. the children are very happy with this.
this tradition is intended that all people can feel what others feel. because the level of welfare of different people, definitely food every home is different. we must realize that not everyone is lucky. therefore we must be grateful with what we have today.

okay, i think it's just those traditions who usually Indonesian people did.here are many more traditions that are commonly or not commonly did by the Indonesian people in various areas. of course different way, but the spirit remains the same, which is a form of gratitude and joy the coming of the Muslims fasting month.

so, me and my big family wanna say "Minal Aidzin Wal'faidzin, Mohon Maaf Lahir dan Bathin. sorry for all our mistakes yaa...." :p

Tiffany and Adam's farewell

yesterday was Tiffany and Adam's farewell. me, Caya and Popo Cima went to De'Arte cafe, to say goodbye to them. wait, who are they? they are lecturers in Caya and Popo Cima's university. although im not in same university with Caya and Popo, we often spent weekend together. i just remember someday Caya and Popo Cima, and Cece Linda (aw but she didnt join us yesterday because she is in Jakarta since two days ago) asked me to join them to visited Tiffany's home. it was the first time i met Tiffany and Baby Reuben (Tiffany and Adam's son) Reuben is really adorable! now he has lil sis, Adalyn. ofcourse she is reaaallllyy cute, she has marble eyes.

it was the first time i met Adam yesterday, but ive been heard a lot about him before. sure he is really good lecturer, he is really friendly. so sad to realize if Tiffany, Adam, Reuben, and Baby Adalyn will leave Indonesia, Lampung on July 9. wish the best for you all.. takecare and see yaa at US, we will visit you someday!

note: me, Caya, Popo Cima. i think we have many similarities. we like western life, and of course we like caucasians than Indonesian man :p but Popo is senior here. haha lol. me and Caya always learn everything from her. she is a teacher for us lol *ah yah, i know Popo from Caya; my soulmateeee, my sisy, my everythinggggg.

1. its Adam and Reuben. well, Adam is really tall. and Reuben, i think we will miss u the most! i know u will be a good boy and can takecare of ur lil sis, Adalyn :*

2. me with Tiffany. she has really soft voice when she's speak. and im really envy with it.

3. i think she is my mom's twins. and my mom's bestfriend. she is very chatty and talkative to me. aw but thanks God i have her. Caya.

4. yihaa Baby Adalyn enjoyed to hold in Popo Cima's arms. so, why we call Popo? because she is Chinese and she is senior. Popo means grandma lol Popo we love you!

gift for my mom

today i spend much of my time in front of computer. suddenly my mom called me from the porch, i came and turned out. there was a traveling salesman came to my house this evening. he brought three paintings, i immediately fell in love with a painting of fields. because it was late, i feel sorry for the old man, beside that he was from the same town as my family, Jogjakarta, Java island.

finally i bought it for my mother. i will not talk prices here. lol
i think this is as a gratitude because she has been keeping me so patiently and tenderly when i was sick in the hospital last week.

HUJAN, PETRICHOR

tau nggak sih? kalo bau tanah basah yang kecium waktu hujan turun itu disebut petrichor.

mungkin ada beberapa yang suka sama bau petrichor. kalo gue gausah ditanya, thats why kenapa gue selalu suka sama gerimis atau hujan. petrichor inilah yang gue tunggu. gue bisa habisin waktu gue diteras lama-lama sampe hujan reda, cuma buat ngerasain dinginnya embun, angin, aroma petrichor, bahkan kalo beruntung gue bisa liat pelangi.

katanya nih, kalo kita suka sama aroma petrichor. itu artinya kita ngewarisin perasaan dari leluhur kita yang emang bergantung sama iklim basah buat ngedukung kemampuan mereka bertahan hidup. hmm petrichor sih menurut gue, bau penghanyut alam bawah sadar. iya ngga sih? lo bakal keinget tuh si mantan waktu lagi ujan-ujanan berdua. haha

petrichor, kata ini tersusun dari bahasa Yunani, petra yang berarti batu dan ichor artinya cairan yang mengalir dalam pembuluh darah para dewa dalam mitologi Yunani. istilah ini diciptain pada tahun 1964 oleh dua peneliti Australia, Bear dan Thomas, untuk sebuah artikel di jurnal Nature. dalam artikel itu, penulis ngejelasin gimana bau berasal dari minyak yang dipancarkan oleh tanaman tertentu waktu masih kering, terus diserap oleh tanah dan batu. selama hujan, minyak dilepaskan ke udara bersama dengan senyawa lain, geosmin, menghasilkan aroma khas yaitu petrichor.

senyawa petrichor ini udah ada namanya dalam senyawa kimia lho namanya adalah senyawa 2-decanone. selain dari senyawa tadi bau bauan khas hujan katanya juga terdapat karena pelepasan spora dari bakteri actinomycetes yang hidup didalam tanah lembap basah dan akan mati kalo tanah itu kering.

vintage for me

if you're open this blog u will see what the theme i used here, yes vintage! then vintage tends to mean 60s-early 80s. technically, it means out dated. however, it's used to define the styles of the past that are popular today.

clothing always repeats itself in cycles (the next time your mom gives you grief about wearing two different colored socks, ask her what she wore in the 80s) but the current trend isn't wearing clothes with a new interpretation, but actually the pieces from that era.

it's actually one of my favorite styles. the ideas don't actually have to be old though. just the look or 'feel' of them. there are a lot of modern 'vintage' styles if that makes sense. a lot of stores make clothes that are supposed to look like they are from a few generations ago.

look now! at my campus, vintage is back! everyone use old type of their clothes. and i did it too. i love when my mom gives me her old clothes. there are too many story about every pieces of them.and i love to hear that stories.

and i just have plan to have a house of my own. i will make it be a vintage house, maybe its the first idea in Indonesia, Lampung especially. i will get it! amen!
